They Are Not All Winners

So, as I push through September on the way to Nanowrimo in November, I still find my brain overclocking trying to find the idea worth spending a month writing about.

Today’s idea: Girl is transformed by disgruntled English teacher into a copy of A Tale Of Two Cities.

Seriously. I can’t even imagine where I’d go from there. Two hundred pages of “if only I could move… gah, this shelf is cramped…”

The really sad part is that I haven’t entirely discarded this idea.

Tomorrow: Day five of my return to daily blogging! And, maybe I’ll learn to count.

    On a Really-Not-So-Related Note:

Have you read The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde? I downloaded it from Audible.com for my commute to work. Really fun premise involving a bad guy who holds characters from major novels hostage…has time travel and war in it, too. For some reason your idea of girl as mighty tome made me think of it.

Yes, Fforde is a great favorite here in the Barre household. There are 5 Thursday Next novels and two Jack Sprat fairy tale mysteries… all worth reading (or audible.com-ing, as I did for the Sprat books…)
